Hello I’m Kerri-lei, I’m 36 from the Midlands and a mother of 5 children, who keep me busy along with my job. I started Slim & Save on the 9th January 2017 and it was the best thing I ever done. After a lovely holiday to Morocco for Christmas and New Year, I looked at holiday snaps, and thought OMG! I was mortified by how big I had let myself get. That was my final straw and the kick up the bum I needed.
I had always been overweight and on and off diets since my twins were born in 2001. I ballooned and struggled to lose the weight and the more I tried the more annoyed I got and ate food, no idea why, self sabotage maybe? My sister-in-law had joined S&S in October 2016 and I saw her results and she did amazing. I thought you know what I can do this diet, so I ordered my first packs. I decided to do Simplicity as I have to be super strict with myself as I’m greedy so making food was not a option for me. I found it so easy to do. The weeks flew by and the weight just dropped off me. I lost 13lb in the first week, which then made me more determined to carry on.
I’ve introduced quite a few friends who have seen my results so far and were amazed. Currently I’ve lost 4st 9lbs and it has taken me 3 and a half months so far, with a couple of planned breaks for birthday’s, etc, but I always got back on plan straight away.
I love this diet it just works, I know it can be pretty hard-core but it works and all it takes is the motivation to succeed, and I will succeed. I still have another 4st I want to lose, and will continue till I get there and maintain afterwards. Never will I allow food to control my life again. I ate when I was sad, happy, bored, not bored, just to eat even if I wasn’t hungry. Since losing weight I’ve became a completely different person, I’m happy, energetic and self-confident, everyone comments on how well I look and how I’m glowing. I’ve always had an outgoing personality, I have to working with people every day lol, but I always wore huge clothes to cover myself, never went shopping, and always bought clothes online.
I’m not at my goal yet but already feel amazing. I have some breaks coming up and a holiday in October where I’ll be working my butt off to lose the rest of the weight. Obviously you get the negative people the ones that say “Oh you put on weight when you diet”, and they say “Do you not think your going too far?” lol I know my body and I know my goals, this is my journey and my body. I know when I’ve reached my ideal weight, and when I do I will maintain.
My advice to people is drink water and lots of it. Do not listen to negative people; there will be many of these as they come out the woodwork for some reason lol. I do Simplicity plan, I add nothing just 4 packs a day plus water and occasionally a decaf coffee but do what suits you. You will lose weight. This diet is perfect for me, never will I use another diet again, I will not gain weight back as this diet has given me my confidence back and able to enjoy all the activities I’d normally avoid as was too big and unhealthy. To all my fellow S&Sers, stay strong and take each day as it comes, if you fall off your plan get back on and the results will reward you greatly.
I’ve also won a spa day after winning the Spring Challenge, so get yourself entered for the Summer Challenge it’s so worth it.
