Yes, Spring is definitely in the air – hooray, finally, at last! It will soon be Summer and time to break out the shorts, t-shirts, dresses and, dare we say it… swimwear.

Sunlight enables your body to make Vitamin D which is beneficial to everyone, particularly those who are old or unwell. Always use a sunblock in strong sunlight and enjoy the sun as much as you like (it’s free). Now can be a great opportunity to take up an outdoor pursuit such as walking, football, boot camp or jogging.
Shape up and de-clutter your wardrobe
We all love those TV makeover shows when the host visits the home of a poor old member of the public. Without a second thought the TV expert rifles though the wardrobe of Sheila from Southend or Danny from Doncaster and removes the detritus which is a) too big, b) too small, c) too old fashioned or d) simply too hideous.
We do actually wear 20% of our wardrobe contents 80% of the time. In layman’s terms, that means if you have 10 tops, you will wear two of them for 41 weeks of the year and eight of them for the remainder. Here’s betting that you have more than one pair of jeans and more than one top which is pretty much the same as the others. You probably have a ‘best underwear’ drawer too that hardly sees the light of day?
Clothes can be pretty cheap to buy nowadays and there is simply nothing more invigorating then clearing out your wardrobe to make room for some new pieces. If you are losing weight with Slim & Save and want to get rid of your ‘fat clothes’ then:
- don’t be tempted to put your old clothes in the loft or
- don’t simply throw the unwanted items in the bin. Check out your local charity shops and recycling centres or even try selling some clothes on eBay to make a bit of spare cash.
