Beef Tenderstem stiryfry, turnip cakes and homemade HOT chilli sauce - Lifestyle Plan Recipe
Ingredients
- 75 g Sirloin Steak
- 15 g Prawns
- 10 g Ham
- 200 g Turnip
- 75 g Tenderstems
- 5 tsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tsp Ginger Root
- 2 tsp Slim & Save Mouse Mix
- 1 Red Chilli
- 95 g Onion
- 70 g Red Pepper
- 2 Garlic Cloves
Instructions
Turnip Cake
- Finely grate the turnip, then cook on the hob for 30 minutes until completely soft in a small amount of water.
- Once cooked drain off the water keeping 1 cup of it aside.
- Mix the mousse mix in cold water and then pour into the water which has been kept aside.
- Cut the ham and prawns into small cubes and pan fry until browned then add to the turnip and place on the hob and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the reserved cup of liquid to the mixture with a dash of soy sauce
- Mix until well blended
- Pour into a small loaf tin lined with parchment paper. Steam for an hour. Allow to cool at room temperature, then place in fridge overnight (or 1-2 hours if desired)
- Cook in oven on high heat until firm.
Stirfry
- marinate the sirloin in the ginger, soy sauce, chilli flakes and garlic for 10 minutes.
- Boil the tenderstems for 1.5 minutes then place immediately in a cold water bath.
- Cook the sirloin in a high heat, 1 minute each side. Add the tenderstems and any remaining marinade to the sirloin and stirfry for a further 30 seconds.
Hot chilli sauce
- boil the sliced onion, red peppers, garlic cloves, ginger and red chilli with a small amount of water, sns lemon flavouring and salt to taste.
- Once softened, blend until a smooth puree.
